Victorian Christmas decorations were characterized by their intricate and symbolic designs, reflecting the era's craftsmanship and festive spirit. Santa Claus, inspired by various cultural traditions, became a popular figure during this time, often depicted in elaborate costumes and placed prominently near Christmas trees or mantels. Dollhouses were also a favored decoration and gift, exemplifying the Victorian fascination with detailed miniatures. These dollhouses were meticulously crafted to resemble the homes of the period, complete with miniature furniture and décor, serving both as toys and ornamental pieces that added a nostalgic charm to the holiday celebrations.
This exhibit showcased the Santa collection of Bob Waitt & Mary Solecki and the Dollhouse was decorated by Shari Nelson
